Deprecation of Existing API Secrets for the Orders API

Affected Functionality: Programmatic SAS® Viya® Order Asset Downloads

Overview/Explanation:

SAS offers customers the ability to download resources associated with their purchase order programmatically via the SAS Viya Orders API.

We have updated the technologies used to manage secrets that are used to interact with the Orders API. You are receiving this follow-up to the Dec., 2025 alert because your email is associated with a secret that will need to be updated as part of this refresh.

For SAS® Viya® Copilot users: You will need to continue using existing secrets until April 16. No further action is needed at this time. Additional information will be provided by April 16.

For all other SAS users: To avoid interruptions in the use of this API, please create new secrets by April 20 using the following steps: SAS Viya Orders API – Secret Creation Process. Existing secrets will continue to function until April 20.

New options have been created to use the updated secrets in the latest version of the SAS® Viya® 4 Orders CLI. Review the documentation for more information on how to use the new options.
